ABC AUCTIONS
Aldrich Balances and Collections auctions is a mail and internet auction that specializes in selling U.S. and Worldwide collections, accumulations, dealers stocks and balance lots. ABC Auctions has been auctioning collections since 1998 and has run over 90 sales. Currently sales are run about every two months, and typically each sale has around 500 individual lots. Each lot in the sale is cataloged or an estimate range is provided in the lot description.
A printed catalog is provided for prospective bidders and each sale is posted on our web site. Opening bids are posted approximately 5-7 days before the closing date of the sale. The opening bids are updated at least once a day five days prior to the closing date. Several lots also have photo scans available on the web site.

For many years the company ran Black Diamond Mail Sales which sold U.S. & Worldwide singles and sets in a mail sale format. Values of items in the past mail sales were generally in the $25-500 range. These sales would typically have over 8,000 lots. The new Black Diamond Online is a retail website which sells U.S. and Worldwide singles and sets. Each individual item listed typically has a retail price in the $3-5,000 range.
The look of the retail listings portion of the website mimics the popular and widely use "102 Card" format. This format which has been used by hundreds of retail and show dealers for more than 50 years is very familiar to collectors throughout the world. The Black Diamond Online website has one of the most extensive search engines of any philatelic website and includes several Custom Search Features. The site also utilizes a modern shopping cart format which simplifies the buying process.
